Hello, I’m Clare Harrington, the creative mind behind CeeCeeBags. In my quest for the perfect bag I have gradually become disillusioned and bored with the over-priced, mass-produced, factory-sewn creations abundant in all the High Street stores.
I am also passionate about the environment and believe that the recycling and re-use of materials is the way forward. I love the idea of unearthing and salvaging fabrics, buttons and trimmings that would otherwise be thrown out, and turning them into something functional, practical and visually stunning, as well as being utterly unique to you! 
The current trend for everything vintage is also fascinating to me, particularly the revival and resurgence in craft and making by hand.
My background is not one of a degree in fashion and design, but of having a mum and two grandmas who were always busy making something - knitting cardigans, sewing a skirt, making a lamp shade or beautifully arranging flowers in a vase! But, it has taken me over 30 years to get the creative bug myself, and have only started sewing in the last 3 or 4 years.
Taking inspiration from a bag-making Dutch friend, I went out and bought a sewing machine, got kitted out with scissors and pins, and went on the hunt for vintage fabrics and trimmings. Four years later, this is where I am!
